The Hoover Dam is nearby Laughlin and it is well worth the visit. It is the highest dam in the United States, the 18th highest dam in the world, but at one time it was the world's highest dam. The enormous Hoover Dam rises over 726 feet from the bottom of Black Canyon. Big city and lodging is so nice with hotels in Laughlin city
